Billingsgazette.com, the award-winning Web site of The Billings Gazette, seeks a sports oriented, creative and Web savvy individual to manage and enhance our online sports coverage. This includes planning coverage for important games and tournaments, maintaining the prep stats package, improving day-to-day presentation, shooting and editing video, producing podcasts, writing commentary and editing copy when necessary.

Our ideal candidate will possess a four-year degree in journalism or a technology-related field, be experienced in online news gathering and reporting and have a strong knowledge of scoring, stats, etc. for various sports.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to deal with multiple objectives and timelines and close attention to detail are all a must.

Candidates should also be familiar with HTML and Web design and must be comfortable with recording technology including audio and video recorders. Prior experience with audio/video interviewing and editing, news reporting and writing experience are also desirable.
