Job Description:
PeaceHealth is a Pacific Northwest, not-for-profit health care organization, nationally recognized for technical excellence, exceptional medicine and compassionate care, who is currently seeking a System Medical Director for Primary Care Development.
PeaceHealth Medical Group is a multi-specialty group of over 400 physicians, with more than half of those physicians in primary care. This provides an excellent opportunity to provide leadership and medical expertise for the development and implementation of a System-lead redesign of Primary Care to a dynamic group.
Leadership, in pursuit of successful collaboration, support and development of a quality driven initiative to ensure a standardized system for managing access, panel management, chronic disease management, and other critical elements, including Medical Home certification, is the initial focus.
The System Medical Director of Primary Care Development serves as a member of the Medical Group Leadership team, aligning with Medical Group goals and priorities and interacting with system and regional executives and leaders, physicians, and clinicians. Ensuring the effective implementation of PeaceHealth Medical Group System-wide Primary Care initiatives, strategic goals and financial performance are being met.
The ideal MD/DO candidate will be certified in Internal or Family Medicine and display a successful track record in leading and facilitating groups of physicians in quality improvement, coordinating standardization and continuous improvement efforts across a Healthcare system. The position will include some direct patient care.
