Kendall College, located in Chicago's exciting West Loop area, seeks part-time, adjunct instructors for the Fall 09 term in the following General Education subjects:

  • College Algebra
  • Statistics
  • Computer Applications
  • Spanish Language
  • Organizational Communication
  • First Experience Course (College Success Seminar)
  • Ethics
  • Environmental Science

    GENERAL SUMMARY
    Kendall College is a private Illinois college committed to cultivating extraordinary talent for the global business, hospitality, culinary, and education fields.     Classes run for ten weeks, and the Fall Term begins on September 30 and ends December 16, 2009. Most classes meet during the day twice a week, but some night, weekend, and online classes are available. Please state live or online preference and your availability in the letter of interest.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Teaching of courses as assigned.
    • Attendance at one-on-one meetings with the Director of General Education.
    • Development of curriculum with the school faculty and Director of General Education and assessment of curriculum with the school faculty, Director of General Education, college curriculum committee and Provost
    • Development of coursework and updating course materials to keep courses at the leading edge of knowledge in the disciplines
    • Engaging in on-going personal professional and faculty development
    • Providing student support for every aspect of learning in the form of regular office hours, tutorial assistance, coaching and career and academic assistance and advice
