The new Director of Clinical Nursing will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operations management for the inpatient Leukemia service nursing operations. The Director will also have the unique opportunity to lead a significant expansion of the inpatient leukemia clinical service in terms of beds and programs. In collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer and physician leaders, the Director will promote a professional nursing practice environment consistent with a world-class cancer center.

The ideal candidate will have proven collaborative leadership experience in a hospital environment and possess strong communication, and relationship building skills.

EXPERIENCE

Required: At least 8 years of nursing experience in acute
care hospital setting is required, including 5 years of management/leadership experience. Management experience must reflect expansion of role scope and complexity over time.

Preferred: 8-10 years of management/leadership experience reflecting increasing responsibility for nursing practice in highly complex organizations
EDUCATION

Required: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.

Preferred: Doctoral degree (PhD or DNS)

LICENSURE
Required: Current Professional Nursing license (RN)
