Human Resources Specialist
Salary Range: $71200 - $106800

KEY FUNCTIONS
1. nvestigations. Investigates internal and external ER, Ethics Line, EEO, EEOC, DOL and other regulatory agency complaints. Conducts effective investigations in accordance with established investigatory guidelines, to include: intake, development of action plan, interviews, data analysis, resolution, report writing and record keeping.

2. ADA accommodations. Manages ADA accommodation process.

3. Training. Ensures delivery of computerized and customized training in accordance with applicable State regulations and institutional policies. Manages relationship with training services providers.

4. Employment law posters. Manages federal and state mandated employment law poster process for the institution and ensures the placement of such posters are current and in appropriate locations.

5. Appeals. Facilitates appeal complaint process.

6. Policies. Researches, develops and implements EEO and ER policies.

7. Legal liaison. Prepares responses to requests for interrogatories and production; and other requests from Legal.

8. Grievances. Facilitates grievance complaint process.

9. Realignment Justification Review and Analysis. Oversees adverse impact analyses on realigned employees. Approves realignment justifications and separation agreements. Oversees related recordkeeping system

10. Other duties as assigned. Manages special projects. Participates on selected task forces and committees.


EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business or Public Administration, Human Resources Management, or closely related field.

Preferred: Master's Degree with major course work in Business or Public Administration, Human Resources Management, or closely related.


LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Preferred: Professional certification in the business field or Certified Mediator.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Six (6) years experience in human resources, to include two (2) years responsible experience specializing in EEO and two (2) years responsible experience specializing in ER
