Nestlé USA, Inc., a leading domestic food and beverage products company, is seeking a lawyer with a minimum of 8 years experience as a practicing business attorney in the areas of environmental and occupational health and safety law. The selected candidate will serve as Counsel for Nestlé USA and affiliated companies. This lawyer would be located in Glendale, California. Candidates must have the quality of experience to immediately assume the role of environmental and safety law practitioner in Nestlé USA's Legal Department. Prior in house legal experience is preferred although experience as a business attorney in a law firm, depending upon the type of practice, may be acceptable.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
'Representing Nestlé companies in enforcement actions and negotiations with federal and state E&S agencies.
'Advising Nestlé companies on environmental compliance issues and legislative and regulatory developments in the E&S law areas.
'Handling environmental law issues in business and real estate transactions (including mergers and acquisitions) and providing support to litigation and insurance counsel on companies' environmental litigation and insurance claims.
'Providing E&S training to pertinent corporate and facility personnel.
'Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
'JD from accredited law school.
'Current membership in any state bar- CA bar preferred.
'Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE:
'Prior in-house position preferred
'Proven experience in OSHA, EPA and State E&S regulations and compliance programs, environmental cleanups, superfund sites, Prop 65, operations at new factories and factory/facility expansions.
'Experience in representing companies in enforcement actions and negotiations with federal and state E&S agencies.
