PROGRAMMER ANALYST AND DW REPORTING CONSULTANT, Information Services and Technology (IS&T)-Infrastructure Software Development and Architecture (ISDA), to join the data and reporting services team. This team continues the design and implementation of a large-scale data warehouse, supporting forecasting and decision-making processes across MIT, helping users produce reports, and providing training and documentation. Principal duties will include creating reports for central and DLC users using the supported reporting tools; providing end-user telephone, e-mail, and one-on-one support; participating in the development and administration of training classes, user groups, and demos; SQL programming using a large relational database; understanding basic data analysis and system design; and working as a team member to resolve complex data and database issues. Will also participate in testing system upgrades of hardware and/or software and perform other functions as needed to support team activities. Position involves interaction with faculty and staff at all levels.
REQUIREMENTS: a minimum of one year of relevant programming/analysis experience, strong analytical skills, demonstrated report building capabilities, experience with SQL programming using a large relational database, ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and solid customer service orientation. Experience with data warehousing techniques, business intelligence tools, and UNIX and Perl scripting a plus. MIT-00006773-P
