ROBOTICS SYSTEMS ENGINEER, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), to participate in software development for the robust manipulation project. Will develop and debug computer code to interface with a pair of robotic arms and a variety of sensors and aid in implementing advanced motion planning algorithms on this platform.

REQUIREMENTS: a B.S. or higher in computer science or related engineering field, extensive programming experience (at least four years) in MATLAB and C++, and ability work effectively as part of a team (with students). Seek an individual with a strong grasp of linear algebra and experience with planning algorithms. A background in dynamics, control, and robotics would be a strong plus. MIT-00006534

Funding for the position is currently for the 2009-2010 academic year, with a possibility of extension.
