Title: Senior Engineer-Systems Integration

Position Description:
ITT Communications Systems (CS), Fort Wayne, Indiana has a significant career opportunity for a talented Senior Engineer-Systems Integration to serve as a technical specialist in solving complex development problems in area of specialization or in implementing special and/or design engineering projects.
More specifically, this position listens to the voice of the customer to identify their needs into high-level concepts, refine those concepts into high level requirements for the customer, and develop initial designs/solutions that will meet those requirements. The Senior Engineer will translate those designs/solutions into detailed requirements and block diagrams, and identify ITT and non-ITT hardware and software products to fulfill that design. They will perform trade studies to validate hardware and software component selection. Must be able to learn the ITT family of products as well as those of preferred suppliers and vendors. Must have the ability to learn and execute the installation, integration, and operation of these systems and subsystems in field demonstrations as well as engineering trials. Must be able to learn and apply defined processes in the execution of engineering tasks.

Experience Requirements:
Equivalent Education Level: Requires B.S. degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other scientific fields.
Experience Required: Minimum of four (4) years exp. in communications technology and systems integration. Minimum two (2) years experience in Systems Engineering. Military experience preferred.
Knowledge Required: Knowledge of systems engineering processes and techniques. Knowledge of US and NATO military communication technologies, standards, and procedures. Knowledge of US and NATO airborne, naval, and ground weapons systems, capabilities and operations.
Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
