POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the Automotive Maintenance. Typically supervises 4 ' 20 employees, some of which may work shift, weekend, or holidays depending upon the job and contract requirements. Acts as the working supervisor and the senior skilled expert within the work center.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
' Ensure all work center operations are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with all applicable government, DoD, contract and ITT policies, regulations, and requirements.
' Responsible for work Assignments according to strengths and weaknesses
' Responsible for counseling, awards, recognition of employees
' Responsible for equitable overtime assignments
' Responsible for work assignment shifts due to unusual requirements
' Approval of vacation requests
' Responsible for proper maintenance of employee timesheet correctness and signs timesheets
' Responsible for development, documentation and implementation of SOPs
' Responsible fort development, documentation and implementation of individual processes IAW ISO 9002-2000
' Responsible for submission of overtime requests and reports per ITT policies and contract requirements
' Responsible for compiling of data for CDRLs required by contract, and submits to appropriate manager
' Responsible for files maintenance IAW applicable Government, DoD, and contract, and ITT policies, regulations, and requirements
' Responsible for administration of certification, licensing, and training documentation
' Other duties as assigned
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Hand tools, specialized equipment unique to the work center or office (such as TMDE, etc.), vehicles, personal computer, printers, calculator, fax machine, copy machine and other office equipment
COMPUTER SKILLS:
MS Office with an intermediate level of EXCEL and WORD. Experience in military or commercial specialized software unique to the work center or office preferred.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work may require lifting up to 50 lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
Experience Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: AA degree in related field to work center or office to which assigned, or 4 years commercial or military equivalent experience. Formal training in work center or office tasks preferred.
Experience: 3 years experience in field related to work center or office to which assigned. 2 years leadership or supervisory experience in work centers or offices of similar size or complexity.
Language: High degree of fluency in English
Special Conditions and Requirements: May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends, and holidays. Work requires long, strenuous hours, and being able to work under pressure.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: May require ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance, depending upon the requirements of the contract and work location. Ability to obtain access to American military installations may also be required.
