 Loss Prevention Lead

Responsibilities:
American Girl Place is the award-winning retail and entertainment destination, located on Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. We sell premium quality dolls, books, clothing and other merchandise and provide a range of exciting, inspiring experiences for girls ages 3-12, including a Café, Photo Studio and our Doll Hair Salon.

We currently have an opportunity for a full time entry level Loss Prevention Supervisor.
Reporting to the Loss Prevention Manager, the Loss Prevention Supervisor will be responsible for leading the loss prevention function at American Girl Place.

Primary Responsibilities:
' To assist the Manager of Loss Prevention in the daily operation of the department.
' Protect the company assets; to include property, merchandise and cash.
' Ensure a safe and secure environment for all guests and employees. Provide and role model friendly service while monitoring customer traffic.
' Coach and motivate the LP team to provide outstanding service. Train new associates and supervise the team.
' Prepare department work schedule.
' Prepare company documents and reports in a high quality and efficient manner.
' Execute all job functions in accordance with established American Girl processes and policies.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
' Must have or be able to acquire N.Y. state guard act licenses and certifications.
' At least 1 year supervisory/management experience in the retail/security/loss prevention field.
' The position requires excellent communication and customer service skills.
' Basic knowledge of criminal law as it applies to the retail environment, courtroom and emergency procedures.
' Ability to read and interpret POS media and provide summary information of incidents.
' Ability to accurately record incidents by writing clear and concise reports.
' Competent in the use of digital CCTV and systems.
' Experienced user of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
