Itron is seeking an exceptional SQA with in depth QA troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment where multi-tasking is required. Our engineers must have the ability to communicate and interact with developers to resolve bugs, clarify functionality and resolve usability issues. The key focus for this role is debugging software products through the use of systematic testing to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. An ideal candidate for this role will have experience with .NET development and experience developing automated test cases in Perl, C# and TCL. An overall understanding of relational databases, database design and concepts along with hands-on experience creating and maintaining test cases is highly preferred.

Key Functions
' Create and maintain test cases, plans according to software design and business specifications
' Analyze and write test standards and procedures
' Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software
' Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action
' Consult with development engineers in resolution of problem.
' Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software
' Ensure quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing Document, research and communicate defects discovered during QA cycle.
' Solid knowledge of various QA methodologies
' Strong QA skills: planning, defect isolation, bug report writing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
' Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
' Practical Experience in Layer 2 and/or Layer 3 Network protocols

Experience: Requires a minimum of 5 years of Software Quality Assurance
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
