This position will report to Practice Administrator of the largest organizational unit within Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.
The identified candidate for the Operations Manager-
Kenmore/Boston, will possess comprehensive knowledge of management and supervisory principles, practices and techniques, often acquired through MBA, MPH or MHA degree or equivalent training and work experience. At least 3-5 years supervisory experience in a clinical capacity required. 7-10 years of professional experience, including 3 to 5 years in operational medical services. A track record of achieving results in a rapidly changing environment and experience managing in an organization with both direct and indirect reporting relationships is preferred. Requires an understanding of and the ability to serve the unique needs of a non-exempt population. Requires a high degree of judgment, initiative, leadership, and demonstrated ability in financial management, negotiations, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience in effectively utilizing teambuilding and mentoring techniques, as well as a strong customer focus is required. Must be an experienced user of word-processing, spreadsheet, and database management PC-based software. Experience with LEAN or Six Sigma Principles would be a plus.

The successful candidate will have experience with running early substance recovery groups and with treating patients on Suboxone maintainance in individual and group settings. Training in CBT and DBT treatment modalities is preferred. Our behavioral health social workers and Psychologists function as independent behavioral health clinicians and provide diagnostic evaluation of patients; and crisis intervention, individual, group, or family psychotherapy appropriate to the patient's problem. They work closely with their medical colleagues (internists, pediatricians and gynecologists) in addition to a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health clinicians (psychiatrists, psychologists and clinical nurse specialists) in a collaborative approach to mental health care. They participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams, develop treatment plans and review treatment plans regularly. May provide clinical supervision for student interns, aids, or fellows. Reports to Regional Behavioral Health Chief. At least 3 + yrs progressive experience. |
